Latest Soap Ratings: Final week of 2021
The last four soap operas ended the 2021 in a pretty good place ratings-wise.

TOTAL VIEWERS
Y&R was up by 166,000 viewers to hit 3.623 million overall. This was the second straight week of increases, boncing back from its season low. The number one soap climbed 6% from last year, adding an impressive 203,000 viewers to its audience.
After the previous week where B&B dropped to a season low, the half-hour CBS soap surged by 194,000 viewers to 2.918 million. Even better, the show barely dropped from last year, dipping just 2,000 viewers.
GH had a pretty great week, up 37,000 viewers to 2.241 million, identical to its numbers last year. This was GH’s biggest audience since October.
DAYS lost an insignificant 3,000 viewers, basically tied with last week’s season high. The NBC soap was up 65,000 viewers from last year.

Both CBS soaps, who have struggled the last couple weeks jumped from last week in a big way. Every soap fell from last year, with GH and DAYS especially hard hit.
B&B had the biggest week to week increase, climbing to a .33 and taking back the number two spot. The CBS soap had fallen to fourth last week, behind DAYS. B&B also had the smalled drop from last year compared to its peers.
GH was back in third with a 6 % drop. The drop from a .33 to .31 ratings wasn’t too bad- at least compared to its 26% drop from last year.
Over at NBC, DAYS tied its second highest rating of the season, but fell 7% from its season high last week. The soap was down from .30 to a .28, and returned to fourth place after overtaking B&B last week. DAYS fell 30 percent from last year, the largest year-to-year decline of any of the soaps.

The CBS soaps extended their strong performance this week to women 25-54, with B&B up 12% (.56 from a .50) and Y&R up 5% (.67 from a .63). Both soaps were down from last year, with Y&R off 16% and B&B down 14%.
GH took a tumble this week, dropping 4% to a .49 and falling back into third. The soap dropped the most of any soap in this demographic
NBC’s DAYS fell this week, but still managed a .40 rating, its second highest of the season. DAYS was down 15% from last season.
