Women 25-54: Daily Breakdown
Monday 9/27/21
General Hospital and Young and The restless started off the week tied for first in the demographic with a .61. Bold and The Beautiful was 3rd with a .56 and Days of Our Lives ranked last today- and every other day this week
Tuesday 9/28/21
GH matched Monday’s .61 but that was only good enough for third place. B&B was up from the previous day by 13 percent to a .63 for second place. Y&R dominated with a .70, up 15 percent from the previous day.
Wednesday 9/29/21
GH held steady with a .61 for the third straight day. DAYS increased about 10 percent to a .41 which didn’t matter since GH held an almost 50% lead over the NBC soap. The surge continued for the CBS soaps with both hitting their weekly high. B&B scored a .67, up 6 percent from the previous day and Y&R hit a .73, up 4 percent.
Thursday 9/30/21
Every soap fell from the previous day, with DAYS down to a .38 and GH hitting its weekly low at a .55 rating. B&B held up best with a .64, down just 4 percent from Wednesday. Y&R took the biggest tumble to a .66, down 10 percent from the previous day.
Friday 10/1/21
DAYS climbed back up to a .41, tying the weekly high it set on Monday. B&B hit a weekly low dropping 17 percent to a .53 rating. Y&R lost first place in the demographic for the only time on this day, dropping 11 percent to a .59 rating. GH returned to first place with a .60 to end quite a consistent week for the ABC soap opera.
Women 25-54: Every Soap, Every Episode Ranked
Young and The Restless held four of the top 10 in women 25-54, with Bold and The Beautiful and General Hospital having three spots each. Days of Our Lives held the bottom five spots. The closest that DAYS came to its competitors on any day this week was Friday against Bold and The Beautiful. The gap between the two is a pretty sizable 29 percent difference at its closest point.

Women 25-54: Weekly Breakdown
Y&R took first place in women 25-54 with a .66 rating, up 5% from last week. B&B took back second place from GH, moving up 7 % to a .61. GH dropped 2% to a .60, and DAYS was up 5 % to a .39. Last Year, Y&R was more decisive at a .69, and B&B was right behind with a .68. The CBS soaps were down 4% and 10%, respectively. GH was up a massive 30% and DAYS went 24% in the other direction. Season-to-date, Y&R holds a comfortable lead in first, GH has a head start on B&B for second and DAYS is owning the bottom spot.
Women 18-49: Daily Breakdown
Monday 9/27/21
GH started the week off strong with a .43, a full 13% ahead of Y&R’s .38 rating. B&B was in third with a .36, and DAYS was in last place with a .25 rating. Both Y&R and DAYS had their lowest showing on Monday. On the flipside, it was GH’s highest-rated day of the week in the 18-49 demographic week.
Tuesday 9/28/21
Every soap rose on Tuesday except for GH, which tumbled 16% from first to third with a .36. GH still held a commanding 33% advantage over DAYS even though the NBC soap moved up 8% to a .27 rating. B&B pulled a .39 for second place and Y&R jumped 16% to a .44 rating.
Wednesday 9/29/21
All four soaps climbed on Wednesday, with Y&R surging to a weekly high of .47. DAYS hit a weekly high of .30, up 11% day-to-day. B&B climbed to a .41 but lost second place to GH’s .42 rating. GH climbed 17% day-to-day. Y&R held a 56% lead over fourth-place DAYS.
Thursday 9/30/21
Thursday was B&B’s time to shine, as the soap was the only one to show an increase from Wednesday AND took number 1 with a .42 rating. Second place Y&R fell 13% to .41 and GH fell the hardest, dropping 17% to a .35. DAYS dipped 10 percent to a .27 in the demographic.
Friday 10/1/21
DAYS was the only soap to show an increase on Friday up to a .29 rating. B&B fell 21% from first to its lowest point of the week with a .33 rating. The gap between these two soaps was the smallest between third and fourth-place all week. GH also dipped again to a .34- again this is the closest the race was between DAYS and the rest of the pack. Y&R also dipped to a .40 but regained first-place. Y&R’s lead over fourth-place was 37% compared to 56% just two days earlier.
Women 18-49: Weekly Breakdown
All four soaps moved up this week with Y&R up 5% to a .42 rating. B&B and GH tied for second place with a .38. B&B increased 6% to get there while GH jumped 9%. DAYS was up 12% to a .28 in last place. Y&R was up from last year while B&B was flat. GH surged 31% compared to last year’s .29 and DAYS tumbled 18% from a .34 rating. Season to date Y&R has a .41 with B&B and GH in a relative tie for second place at a .37. These two soaps hold a 35% lead over DAYS which is averaging .27 rating this season.
Women 18-49: Episode Ranking
The weekly rankings for women 18-49 saw all five episodes of Y&R make the top 10 in the demographic. B&B took three spots and GH grabbed the remaining two slots. Just .03 separated the 11th highest rated episode from the 15th highest. DAYS held the bottom five spots on the chart once again this week.
